Azura Artifacts are standalone pieces of content Azura creates during a conversation — code, documents, web pages, diagrams, and live interactive apps. They appear in a dedicated side panel titled “Azura Artifacts”. The exact set of supported types can change over time. The artifact list shows each item’s type badge.

The artifact panel

  • The panel subtitle shows ” active artifact(s)”.
  • When you are viewing one artifact, a “Back to collection” link returns to the list.
  • If you close the panel while artifacts exist, a floating amber button (tooltip Show {n} Azura Artifact(s)) brings it back.
  • “Download All” (tooltip “Download all artifacts as ZIP”) appears when there is more than one artifact. It shows “Zipping…” while working.
  • The panel is resizable by dragging its edge. On mobile it opens full-screen.
  • Empty state: “No artifacts yet” — “Artifacts will appear here when the AI creates interactive components, code snippets, or documents for you.”
  • List entries show the title, type, size ({type} • {n} lines • {n} characters), and “Created ”.
You can also toggle the panel with the /artifacts slash command.

The viewer

Opening an artifact shows three tabs: “Preview”, “Code”, and “History”.

Preview

Interactive artifacts, such as web apps, run live in a secure sandbox. Documents render formatted.

Code

The “Code” tab shows the artifact’s source. Toolbar actions include:
  • “Copy share link”
  • “Download” — the file extension matches the artifact type

History

The “History” tab shows “Version History”. Every save creates a version entry — “Version ” with a timestamp and a “View version” link. While viewing an older version, click “Restore this version” to roll back to it.

If a preview crashes

If an interactive artifact shows a “Render Error”, switch to the “Code” tab to view the source, or ask Azura to fix the artifact. You can restore an older working version from the “History” tab. See Troubleshooting.
