This guide walks you through your first visit to Azura: signing in, finding your way around, and starting a conversation.

Azura uses Economic ID for sign-in. Open Azura and you are redirected to id.ecowestern.net to sign in, then returned to where you started. See Sign in and your account for details.

The home page

After signing in, you land on the home page:
  • The heading reads “Start with what is on your mind.”
  • The “New conversation” button starts a fresh chat.
  • Three quick-start cards each start a conversation:
    • “Work through an idea” — “Turn a rough thought into a clear plan.”
    • “Build something” — “Create code, documents, or a working draft.”
    • “Understand a topic” — “Get a useful explanation without the fluff.”
  • “Continue where you left off” lists your recent conversations, with a “View all” link that opens the sidebar.

The interface at a glance

On small screens the sidebar becomes a slide-over, opened with the hamburger icon.

Start a conversation

Choose any of these:
  1. On the home page, click “New conversation” or a quick-start card.
  2. In the sidebar, click “New Chat”.
  3. Press Ctrl Shift N (or Cmd Shift N).
A new conversation is titled “New Conversation” until you send your first message, after which Azura generates a title automatically.

The welcome screen

New conversations show “Where should we begin?” with the subtext “Ask a question, bring a draft, or describe the thing you want to make.” Below it, suggestion chips rotate over time. Click one to start, or just type your own message in the Omnibox.

Send your first message

  1. Click the Omnibox at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Type your message.
  3. Press Enter to send. Press Shift Enter for a new line without sending.
Azura responds as it works. See Using the Omnibox for everything the input box can do.
