Long-term memory lets Azura save short facts about you — preferences, projects, context — so future conversations are more personalized. Memory is on by default.

Open the Memory settings

Choose any of these:
  • Click the Settings gear in the header (tooltip “Settings”) and open the “Memory” tab.
  • Use the /settings slash command.
The Settings modal is titled “Settings” with the eyebrow “Personalize your workspace”.

Turn memory on or off

Use the “Long-term Memory” toggle:
  • On: the status reads “Active — Azura is learning.”
  • Off: the status reads “Disabled — Memories are sleeping.” Turning it off stops new memories from being saved.

View and manage stored memories

The “Stored Memories” section shows a count badge with your usage against the current cap, plus:
  • A search box (“Search memories…”).
  • Sorting by “Newest” or “Oldest”.
  • A “Purge All” button.
Memories are timestamped one-line facts. There is a cap on how many are kept — when full, the oldest memories are dropped first.

Purge all memories

  1. In Settings → “Memory”, click “Purge All”.
  2. The confirmation dialog “Purge All Memories” asks: “Are you sure you want to delete all stored memories? This cannot be undone.”
  3. Confirm with “Purge All”.
You can also clear memory from chat: use the /forget command, review the “Clear AI Memory” dialog, and confirm with “Clear Memory”. Purging cannot be undone.

Privacy

Memories are private to your account. For the full picture of what Azura stores, see Privacy and your data.
